Nicolas A. Re, CPP

President, Aerospace & Defense

 

Mr. Re has over 20 years experience in the commercial security and defense/aerospace industries including executive management, infrastructure development, operations oversight, and business development.  Nick joined Pinkerton Government Services, Inc. (now SCIS) through the acquisition of American Protective Services (APS) in January 2000. In his tenure with these combined organizations, he has worked in all management levels bringing innovation and leadership to the creation of the organization’s proven business model.

 

As a Program Manager on assignment with a large defense contractor, Nick built and managed a security workforce for multiple locations in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. His responsibilities included physical security oversight, training, personnel management, and customer relations. Since that assignment, he has served as Branch Manager in Fort Smith, Arkansas and in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he worked to develop existing business throughout the Midwest while building operational support for defense industry clients. For nine years, he served as Area Vice President for the Northern U.S and then two years as Vice President of Operations based in Springfield, VA. In addition to operations oversight, his contributions to infrastructure development have included national account management, human resources management, business development, refinement of corporate policy, state licensing, and training.

 

Nick is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix.

 

Nick’s professional affiliations include memberships in the National Classification Management Society, American Society for Industrial Security, the National Defense Industrial Association and various other industrial security awareness councils and associations.

Sean O’Brien

Vice President, Aerospace & Defense

 

Mr. O’Brien joined SCIS in late 2020 after being an executive with Securitas Security Services USA since 2012. Sean has more than 13 years of experience in Physical Security. He served in the United States Army as a Captain in the Military Police Corps, to include a Task Force Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he focused on paramilitary training and security operations. He worked as a Private Investigator and Counter Terrorism Security Specialist while attaining a dual master’s degree in security management and emergency management at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.

 

Notably, Sean owned the P&L as the operations lead for Securitas in New York City as the Area Vice President. Now a part of SCIS, Sean is focused on supporting the national Aerospace & Defense team in expanding current relationship and adding new clients in the cleared commercial market.

James Brakebill

Vice President, Fire & Emergency Services

 

Chief Brakebill is uniquely qualified to serves as the expert technical advisor to both SCIS field operations and to our customers for code compliance, NFPA consult, EMS Protocols, business development, and service delivery.  He has managed industrial and municipal firefighters throughout his 30 plus years in fire and emergency services.  He is well experienced in all forms of structural fire suppression/fire protection systems, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, as well as wildland fire control and fire prevention.

 

Chief Brakebill has an extensive background in education and training both academically and professionally.  In 1989 he earned a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management from National University in San Diego.  He has served as a member on the California State Fire Marshal’s Peer Assessment for Certification Evaluation (PACE I and PACE II) Committee and the Statewide Training & Education Advisory Committee (STEAC). Chief Brakebill is a CSFM Master Fire Instructor and currently serves as an instructor and Professor in Fire Technology at three community colleges, Program Director for Emergency Medical Services, and is an Instructor Trainer for the American Heart Association. In addition, he has co-authored two books on fire technology that are currently in use in the fire technology programs offered at various colleges.

 

He is currently a member of the Southern California Industrial Mutual Aid Organization, California Fire Chief’s Association, California State Firefighter’s Association, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Working Group, International Code Council, Western Association of Fire Chiefs, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, Southern California Training Officer’s Association, California Fire Technology Director’s Association, National Fire Protection Association, and the International Association of Fire Service Instructors.
