Ron Hickie

President, Energy


Ron W. Hickie is the President of SCIS Energy. His primary responsibility is to provide outstanding service to the nuclear, petrochemical and other critical infrastructure clients by creating an organization that people want to work for and with.


Fresh out of college Ron began his career in the security industry as a nuclear security officer at Yankee Atomic Electric Company. In less than ten years he was the Project Manager at an operating nuclear power plant and continued to work his way up from there.


In 2009 Ron stepped into the role of Region President for the Securitas Energy Services Sector. To better align with Securitas business needs the Energy Services Sector took on the current Petrochemical business in the Gulf Coast Area in 2012 and became Critical Infrastructure Services. Under his leadership the Critical Infrastructure Services Division became the forefront in providing security services to highly regulated industry clients throughout the United States.


At the end of the 2013 fiscal year, Pinkerton Government Services merged with the Critical Infrastructure Division to form Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services (SCIS). Ron took on the role as President of SCIS Energy and continues his legacy of leadership in specialty security services.

Darrell Williams

Area Vice President, Energy Division


As the Area Vice President (AVP) for SCIS’ Energy Sector, Darrell is responsible for the day-to-day management at operating nuclear plants throughout the United States. Prior to his role as AVP, Darrell served as a Project Manager at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant in Glen Rose, TX. Darrell’s background and experience from ground level operations to the management ranks at several operating nuclear plants are essential to our management team.


Prior to entering the nuclear industry, Darrell served in the United States Army for nearly 18 years. Ending his career as a Company Operations Manager where he was responsible for managing the daily training schedule and conducting professional development courses for over 160 soldiers. Darrell received numerous awards and decorations during his service, including being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal twice.


Darrell is a graduate of Excelsior University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Belford University.

Charlie Rival

Area Vice President, Energy Division


Charlie Rival joined SCIS’ Energy Division in 1995 after retiring from the Connecticut State Police. During his tenure with SCIS Charlie has fulfilled several management roles at both operating and decommissioned nuclear facilities with his most recent focus being directed at actively decommissioning and ISFSI locations. Under Charlie’s direction, SCIS has become the industry expert and leading provider for security at ISFSI facilities in the United States.


With over 40 years of experience in Law Enforcement and Security including, firearms instruction, executive protection, and criminal investigations, Charlie brings a wealth of knowledge to our management team.


Throughout his career Charlie has attended every major firearms manufacturer weapons and armorer’s school in the United States.

Jeff Leonard

Area Vice President, Petrochemical Division

Spanning more than 30 years, Jeff’s broad security experience provides an ideal foundation for SCIS Petrochemical. His credentials are characterized by a unique combination of consulting, contracting, corporate and government job experience.  Prior to stepping in as the interim Area Vice President he has provided SCIS clients assessments and best practices related to the deployment of integrated, multi-site access control and surveillance systems.


Jeff’s previous professional experience includes being the owner and primary technical consultant at PreSource, Inc for more than nine years.  He served as a project manager in a security consulting firm where he was responsible for coordination and delivery of services to Fortune 500 corporate clients. He has also worked in the contracting portion of the industry as Project Manager through Operations Manager. While serving as a security coordinator for one of the world’s largest oil companies, Mr. Leonard gained valuable insight into private sector security planning, budgeting, implementation and management and continued to receive training, making him familiar with many of the systems in utilization.  His management and technical training began in the United States Air Force.  While attaining the rank of Technical Sergeant (E-6), he was responsible for supervising and managing the service and installation of electronic systems including Video, Access Control, Fire Alarm and Building Management.


Mr. Leonard is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) and current member of the Houston Chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).  He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology.
